Even Though

Even though I have committed myself to staying in California for the next year, I still think this is a very odd place.

They are trying to recall the governor. (Gray Davis - D)

That they just re-elected not even a year ago.

This same governor that got California through an electricity crisis at the height of the Dot-com boom. Granted, he made a fucked up deal with Texas, but they were the ones playing him shady, and we know how ENRON ended up...

Now its this budget. No one wants to pay more taxes, that is a given, but sometimes its necessary. It sucks but what can you do. But since a high ranking Republican said that he will politically kill any Republican that voted for the budget that included tax increases, it did not pass on time.

So whose fault is that?

It reminds me of when Newt n em tried to shut down the U.S. government not so long ago. It didn't work and the GOP wound up looking the fools, which happened alot during the Clinton administration.

I think I need to stay out of politics, lol

In Other News:

Yes, people are disappointed that my cuz is not graduating on time. On the other hand it is guarded disappointment, as the way this kid was going there was a time when people would consider him a high school dropout. So the progress that he has made is amazing also considering that he came from the LA Unified School District. I thought Chicago Public Schools were bad. These people here take the cake, for real.
