I have mixed feelings about family reunions. On the one hand, I don't think there's any better summer food than that at a family reunion. Church picnics run a very close second, but reunions are the best in that category.
On the other hand, there's the family and reunion part.
At least they only happen once a year. But I have been to some bad ones, where your cousin who decides he wants to play with you, his new BB gun and a knife, or the other where all the other kids try to figure out 'who son is you'.
Maybe I just hate extended family reunions, where you kinda part of this family, or only a part thru (indirect) marriage. My own immediate family is having a reunion in a few weeks back home in Chicago...
Guess who won't be there? My finances are fighting an uphill battle right now, but I am certain there will be PLENTY of pictures and at LEAST one fight.
That's just the nature of the bizz, lol

Posted by maximillian at July 3, 2003 02:28 PMi wish black people would start having just 'straight' families...cut all the step-family bs out...you end up having to go to fifteen family reunions the way black people tend to reproduce. actually this is not only a black thing but you know what i mean...i'm going to eat some honey smacks.
