The Bus Strike rolls on as the workers rejected the MTA's last best and final offer, which means the MTA can hire replacements, which they say they wont do. Neither will they go to binding arbitration since that would bring in outsiders to solve their problems.
Um, isn't that the point?
Anyway, on the grocery strike front, the union has removed pickets from one of the stores out here (ralphs) so we can get our shop on there again. But they haven't had any talks either.
And, why are the teachers about to strike in Chicago again? Oh boy...
