The Love Below

I just want to say that Andre 3000 is either crazy or a genius. I would bet for somewhere in between.

I still have not gotten into Speakerboxxx yet, mainly because I am still bumping the Music Inspired by Scarface CD. on that one I think they should have put Scarface's Original Scarface song (I started small time, dope game, co-caine/Pushin rocks on the block, I'm never broke mane...).

Oh yeah, its time once again to thank our sponsors (busy month!)

In Other News...

I got an A- on the paper I stayed up to type. I'm glad I did.

My fantasy football teams are 0-3 this week, including an improbable loss to Calvin's squad.

It's going to be one of those seasons, I can tell...

Week 4

Let's just say it was a bad day for my fantasy teams...

Rams 37, Cardinals 13 - Blake did not perform.

Titans 30, Steelers 13 - McNair is the energizer bunny

Vikings 35, 49ers 7 - Moss 3, T.O. 0

Texans 24, Jaguars 20 - Leftwich loses on last-play lunge (alliteration, gotta love it, lol)

Redskins 20, Patriots 17 - Turnovers kill, and Spurrier is a success... well, so far...

Begals 21, Browns 14 - Yay for Marvin Lewis' 1st victory

Raiders 34, Chargers 31 - yeah, NOW Tim Brown decides to hold on to the ball, AFTER I BENCH HIM...

Eagles 23, Bills 13 - Travis, come back!

Chiefs 17, Ravens 10 - This started off as being about Priest and Jamal, but in the end, it was all about (Dante) Hall...

Panthers 23, Falcons 3 - Carolina on top of a TOUGH division at 3-0

Cowboys 17, Jets 6 - Parcells wins in New York Again...

Broncos 20, Lions 16 - Plummer is still doing work, how long til he collapses...

Colts 55, Saints 21 - Peyton puts up 6 TD passes... DAYUM!

Packers at Bears tonight - Come on, the Bears suck now, so on monday night against bret favre in a new stadium, old result... dammit...

EDIT: Packers 38, Bears 23 - I was right this time, but at the expense of my Bears, that kinda sucks, but when you constantly call for 5 yd passes on 3rd and 9, you kinda deserve to lose...

Crocodiles

Why are these white people out here in Madagascar somewhere chasin down crocodiles? and trying to catch them with fishing poles...

Fishing Poles, I said...

And why I was in the 99 cent store and this random white woman says, "For 5 years my husband stole my bra and panties from me"

Like, was I gonna replace em?

and why u shopping for bra n pantie sets at the 99 cent store ANYWAY?

why, did this old white couple get in line to buy like 1000 lil yoplait yogurts, only to get outta line when they realized they could get them cheaper at Costco...

this is in the express line, mind you...

and why do I find out how my first paper went tomorrow...

(nerves)

In Other News...

Fuck the Cubs for winning their division while the White Sox choke...

Speakerboxx

First, I wanna thank those who left questions for me to answer, I had a blast doing it... and for the stragglers (or those who only get online at work or school, lol) I will answer more questions til after the Bears game on Monday Night.

I may do this again soon, tho...

In Other News...

The L.A. Times is against the recall, because, frankly, the candidates suck.

Ah-nuld is evasive, Bustamante a n-word joke telling, casino money gettin fraud, Huffington is a tax cheat, Cornejo is too far away, and McClintock is too far right...

That one guy, Trek, wears too much blue, Mary Carey... well, maybe LOL (yeah I know... perv...) Gary Coleman's arms are too short to box with Gray, and Gallagher? cmonnnn

I'm leaning towards writing myself in, LOL

Hardly any of my football picks covered the spread on saturday...

What does this mean? It means that Max don't owe Yahoo no cash, and they won't break something...

I bought an antenna, so I can try to see thru the snow to watch a football game tomorrow (I wanna see KC and Baltimore, but they will probably show the Raiders and the Chargers, UGH... and people wonder why I be ready to leave california...)

And pay no attention to the fact that this entry had part of the Outkast double CD title in it with no mention of the music... that's Monday.. LOL

Answers!

Because you asked...

From Calvin:

1) Have you run into any CUBS lately, if so what are the results?
No I haven't. The part of the city I'm in now doesn't have any CUBS.(Crackheads Under the Boardwalk, for those not knowing)

2) What cologne do you wear now?
I retreated to the familiar Eternity, until I get money for Acqui di Gio. No More Issey Miyake for me. (do a search and you will find out why)

3) Have you been shaking in your boots because of your upcoming meeting with juggernaut that is Killa Cal's fantasy football team, the CollegePark Manglers?
Like BoneCrusher said... I AIN'T NEVA SCARED!!!

4) How old are you really?
Older than the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars, or, on this planet, 28.

5) Is it true that you and Q-Tip are related?
I get this alot (I hate the song 'Vivrant Thing' for that very reason), but the answer is no.

From Nexy:

1. What is your all time favorite movie?
The Godfather.

2. Which five movies are the greatest black movies EVER?
Carmen Jones, The Color Purple, Malcolm X, Coming to America and Friday

3. What do you think about General Clark as a democratic candidate for president?
Hm, I don't know much about him, since I have no tv as of yet. But thanks to issues.org, I see that he is a little bit more to the center, therefore, he may have a better shot to beat Bush, but we'll see...

4. Whoopi Goldberg's new television show, hit or miss? Why?
Probably a hit. the wigga-chick will probably put it over the top.

5. Don't you think that President Bush isn't the one really running the show? Isn't he some sort of puppet and his cabinet and advisors are puppeteers?
Yeah. Most of Dubya's advisors worked with his dad at one point, so you don't have to go too far to see who is really pulling the strings...

From I_boogie:

1)Who do you think has a more obscured voice on record: James Brown or D'Angelo?
JB has it locked, but D'Angelo is not far behind: "Untitled" might has well been named "Untranslated"...

2)What is more appealing someone who looks sexy or someone who has sex appeal?
Sex appeal. someone can look sexy for like 5 minutes and fool you (think: Strobelite Honey by Black Sheep), but sex appeal is there all the time, even in no makeup and baggy sweats...

3) Do you like more peanut butter or more jelly on your pj samiches?
Slightly more PB than J. (Grape...)

4)Do you consider a woman who doesn't kiss until the third date as frigid?
No, but I may question her dentalwork and/or breath... lol

5) Do you believe in lending and borrowing money to and from friends?
Yeah, I only got a few friends, so we can go back n forth like it's no problem.

6) If you had a roomate and shared the same answering machine who's name would you say first on the voice mail? I.e. 'This is the voice mail of________ and _________ please leave a message'.
Mine, of course! I have the better name, AND, I would try to get James Earl Jones to say it: "THIS IS THE VOICE MAIL OF MAXIMILLIAN..." lol

7) Do you think 7 questions are a bit much? Should I have went for 10?
7, 10, 21... It's cool. I am like a book, u open it and there it is, but you DO have to open it *grinnin*

From Martha:

1) what is your stance on repartions?
I think they are due. everyone else got paid for their suffering, and because it black people its not supposed to happen? Stop...

2) boxers or briefs?
Boxers... NO MORE TIGHTY-WHITIES... lol

3) what do you think about black people and the use of the words "nigger/nigga"?
The word is not going anywhere, I don't think. White people should not use it. Latinos should not either, yet out here in LA they do all the time. I don't know if we should use it. It's like, I use it, I guess cuz we all are still kinda strugglin. And its too acceptable now anyways. Anytime people will get offended when you call them 'brotha' before 'nigga', we have problems that 'not saying the word' is not gonna solve.

4) what are your pet peeves?
People who cannot hold a conversation. Negroes who have nothing else to talk about but music and baby-daddies/mommas. People who say stupid shit like, 'not all black people think alike' and use it as an excuse for not having unity, Blackplanet is just a peeve all by itself. So is the RIAA, and The Source, FUCK the Source, LOL

5) if you could have one wish what would it be?
That Negroes can have shit together BEFORE some bullshit happens instead of after...

6) if you could take something back, what would it be?
My 'Nastradamus' CD. Nas is the shit n all, but damn...

From Grayse:

1. Do you believe everyone has a purpose in life? If yes, what is yours?
Yes. everyone including me has a purpose. Mine? Probably to write something that moves people to action... Or conquer the world with a private army of oompa loompas...

2. Do you only use a certain type of fuel brand in your car?
Cheap. LOL, but Arco is 2nd followed by Shell. No Exxon or Mobil anymore.

3. Socks- ankle, knee or calf?
Ankle. Knee-high socks look like pantyhose and the other ones leave them itchy marks on my sen-sa-tiv skin.

4. Booty or Breasts?
I like booty, but I am a breast man *sigh*.

5. If you could be on any TV show, which one would it be
'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'... again...lol

From Chaconna:

1. If you could go back and change one event in your life what would it be? Why?
Making an Ill-fated Spring Break Trip a few years ago. That one trip opened up a can of worms...

2. When you comin back to KY?
I dunno.

3. Why u gotta b so hard on me n my "friends"
Because, this is what Big Brothers do.

4. What one thing gets on ya nerves more than anything else in the whole world?
When you call me _______, and you KNOW it!

5. What is your lifelong dream or goal?
Hmm, to be a Media Mogul giant, and to be an example for other black men to follow...

(did i say that?)

From Pam:

1.What's your favorite food?
Pizza!

2.When are you going to take my advice and settle your traveling african tribe ass down?
Hell if I know, but maybe when ________ forces me to have her babies, lol

3.When you get a job are you going to set up a trust fund for my baby? (And if you do have a job, when are you going to do it?)
Can it be done with Monopoly money?

4.How old do you think you'll be when you start a family?
probably in the 30s.

5.Why are you always telling me about your problems with making a damn decision when you know I'll just get pissed off?
Cuz its fun, I can imagine u getting heated, lol

6.What would your dream job be?
It used to be to give Lil Kim head 24-7, but since she has fallen out of favor, it would be Directing BLACK-buster movies... that's right, not block...

7.Can I borrow $100.00?
lol... I don't have it.

Keep it rollin...

No question too small or too stupid... lol

In Other News...

I was going to talk about the recall debate, but this is what they said about it across the pond...

Courtesy of the London Telegraph

Schwarzenegger swaps insults in debate debut
By Oliver Poole in Los Angeles
(Filed: 26/09/2003)

Arnold Schwarzenegger finally faced his political opponents on a public stage yesterday and found himself trading insults with a former London socialite turned Californian multi-millionairess.

In the only debate of his campaign for the governorship of California, the film star and former bodybuilder was subjected to a bruising assault from the other four leading candidates for his lack of grasp of policy detail and his political inexperience.

Much of the fire came from Arianna Huffington, a former president of the Cambridge Union who went on to marry and divorce an oil billionaire.

At one point Schwarzenegger interrupted her and Ms Huffington retorted: "This is the way you treat women, we know that." The remark was a reference to recent allegations that the film star treats women disrespectfully.

"I just realised I have the perfect part for you in Terminator 4," Schwarzenegger shot back, which Ms Huffington, standing as an independent candidate, later claimed referred to a scene in his current film Terminator 3, in which his character thrusts the head of a female robot into a lavatory.

But despite often talking in generalisations about the need for more jobs and a more beneficial business climate, Schwarzenegger did show he had a grasp of the main issues and was able to parry most of the barbs against him.

The other candidates present - Schwarzenegger's fellow Republican, Tom McClintock, the Democrat Cruz Bustamante, and Peter Camejo, a Green - did not emerge unscathed either.

Mr Bustamante, who is at present leading in the polls, was attacked for taking millions of dollars from Native American tribes that run casinos. Mr McClintock was told he had the facts backwards on the economy, and Schwarzenegger accused Miss Huffington of using loopholes to avoid paying income tax.

Schwarzenegger, who had been criticised for refusing to take part in three other debates, only agreed to appear as the questions were known in advance. His strategy has been to appear on the television shows of friends in the entertainment industry, where he can reach a large audience without being subjected to hostile questions.

With 12 days to polling day, Schwarzenegger has the support of 26 per cent of voters, trailing to Mr Bustamante's 28 per cent, with Mr McClintock on 14 per cent.

Degree, or not Degree...

That is the question...

I looked thru my school's catalog, and if I decide to stick it out one more semester, I will be able to cop an A.A. degree...

I mean, it ain't the ultimate (which for me would be either a M.F.A. or a J.D., but we'll see) but it is definitely a start.

In Other News...

I talked to my moms today, she's alright n all, but told me she is not gonna throw my party after all, saying my B-Day is too close to Christmas...

That just means I am now free to get frunk as duck, lol

Monday, December 22, 2003, mark it on ya calendar now!

Imma need a designated driver too. Any takers?

Oh and I will be back in Chicago for this one...

News Updates

Look for them in your town, the Immigrant Freedom Ride is on!

Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I mean, couldn't they have called it something else? I mean yeah, some of the original Freedom Riders endorsed it, but I think that shows more about how bad black leadership is these days than how far we have come. But I could be reading too much into this. If you've read me over these last few weeks you might think I was anti-immigrant and all that, which is not the case.

Bush went to the UN today. He is, lak, sooooo embarassing...
lol

How bad is this?

The White Sox lose, with the Yankees celebrating their division title at Sox Park (U.S. Cellular Field)

The Minnesota Twins, the Sox' Rival, beat Cleveland to win the division.

Then , the Cubs (BOOOOO) take over first place in their division....

And I find out all my fantasy football teams lose by 7 points or less...

But, tomorrow will be Smurfy, I can feel it... LOL

Immigrant Licenses

No Friday Five today, so that we can bring you this op-ed.

Here is one story about the bill Gray Davis just signed regarding the title issue.

Here is another.

The people on e-the-people have some things to say too.

It's pretty amazing what's going on these days, there are so many comparisons of America to the Roman Empire that it's not even funny....

But those are links for another day...

My opinion on the license thing can be found here, in the In Other News Section.

sox sweep sux

Gat-dammit...

It is a bad day to be a White Sox fan.

The Twins swept.

Un-Friggin-believable.

The Sox are now 2 1/2 behind and have a bad schedule. The Twins have Cleveland and Detroit...

damn damn damn... JAMMMMES!

*sigh*

In Other News...

So far for Bolivion Citizenship we have...

Bill O'Reilly, Gary Coleman, OJ Simpson, LaToya Jackson (from I-Boogie) and R. Kelly (from Martha)

Keep the nominations coming! lol..

I read about some of the rationale behind letting illegal immigrants get driver's licenses, and it still doesn't make sense to me. I will post the links when I find them.

Citizenship!

The Bolivion Embassy is opening its doors.

We need more citizens!

While its fun to poke fun and ridicule Mike Tyson, Jacko, his kid Blanket (I mean, who was the baby daddy for real, Linus?) and Kobe, it is time or us to have a citizenship Drive...

And, I have nominees!

Lil' Kim - For looking like a blow up doll on more than one occasion

Rodney King - For getting arrested more times since the riots than he did before the riots

OJ Simpson - Because, He's OJ Simpson, he may be kinda old tho

Gary Coleman - For running for Governor (Failed Child Star, Security Guard, Legislator... nah, can't see it)

Al Sharpton - For STILL not cutting the perm (he will not be taken serious until he does so...)

Big Tigger, Angie Martinez - For someone signing them to do albums. That Crossover shit don't work all the time

The Source - For their obviously-biased cover story on 50 and letter from the editor thats a tad bit late and contrived. Besides, anyone who gives Made Men 4 and a half mics needs to underwrite the Bolivion National Anthem.

BANAs everywhere (lol @ Lisa) - For making niggas who have a spine look bad.

Benzino - He should WRITE the Bolivion National Anthem

People who hate on Barry Bonds - Take a real good look at this nigga, you wont see another black man come close to him EVER...

Bret Favre - Because he's a Packer

Dubya and his crew - For Iraq-Nam, fucking up the economy and fucking off a budget surplus.

That's about it for now, any other nominations, hit the comment box, just remember they have to have a history of fuckery going on... lol

Oompa Loompa doompadee doo

I've got another puzzle for you...

The oompa loompas are no joke, for real.

It looks like a judge has kinda stopped the recall, for now, whicih would give Democrats time to rally around either Davis' no governing ass or Bustamante's racist ass (I don't care what he said, "nigger jokes" do not just slip...)

I just got out of Chemistry.

I am overmatched.

*sigh* I will do it next semester.

And it saves my GPA *bankhead bounces*

And I am still a full time student.

I have a paper to write, and a script and some poems to read.

That, is more like it.

I just wish I had dropped BEFORE I BOUGHT THE BOOKS... anywho...

In Other News...

I am mad at OJ n Calvin for posting 2-0 records in the SCFL while my team is struggling at 1-1.

October is when I will take the tests from the last Incomplete math class I took so I can officially have a 'D' on my record.

Directv guy is coming today, so I can no longer sit at home in silence lol.

Sox at Twins, Mets at Cubs, Max at Class (from 4 til 10), dammit...

Week 2

For those who couldn't watch, which is understandable since there were a lot of blowouts...

Vikings 24, Bears 13 - This is getting real bad, real fast

Packers 31, Lions 6 - Favre (fucker) bounces back, Harrington bounced around

Seahawks 38, Cardinals 0 - Arizona QBs: 205 yds and 4 picks. Did Emmitt do the right thing?

Rams 27, 49ers 24, OT - Bulger should start, Warner may be done.

Panthers 12, Bucs 9, OT - Block Party sponsored by Carolina.

Saints 31, Texans 10 - That hissing sound was the wind knocked out of Houston's sails...

Redskins 38, Falcons 31 - Coles 180 yds, Peerless 28

Patriots 31, Eagles 10 - Philly gave up the ball 6 times, 'nuf said.

Ravens 33, Browns 13 - I didn't know Jamal Lewis CALLED out he was gonna do damage (to the tune of 295 yds RUSHING and 2TDs? dayum). For this, the Cleveland defense needs their ass whooped...

Colts 33, Titans 7 - Edge is back I tell you!

Chiefs 41, Steelers 20 - Looks like KC is picking up where they left off offensively, and picking off Maddox defensively.

Bills 38, Jaguars 17 - Buffalo is rolling over teams now, how long will it last...

Dolphins 21, Jets 10 - Vinnie's 372 yds not enough

Broncos 37, Chargers 13 - Okay! Jake is not the Worstest!

Raiders 23, Bengals 20 - Something is wrong when the Bengals take you down to the wire

Cowboys at Giants - I still don't think Qunicy Carter is the answer for the Cowboys yet, but who did Tuna have to choose from? (Stewart, Griese, Plummer, Blake). Giants will take this one at home.

EDIT: Yeah, Yeah, I blew it again. At least this one was a decent game compared to philly getting beat down last week...

In Other News,

My moms thanks all of you who wished her a happy berfday...

I also think I may be doing a movie or something. I'm kinda excited about this too.

Chemistry class puts me straight to sleep.

And someone is trying to repo my busted car.

Let me go eat, then study, then cuss at the Financial Aid Office, LOL

Mom's B-Day

Today is my mom's birthday.

So I will make the call sometime today. She's having a party too, and I wish I could be there. I haven't seen her in almost 3 years. That's a long time for someone not to see they momma.

It sucks because she was THE parent. I didn't get a step-dad til I was 16, but to both their credit, they're still going at it. (as far as being married, I don't know about that other shit, lol)

So, today everybody call they momma and tell them you love them, as a pseudo-Mother's Day, LOL

In Other News,

The Directv nigga ain't came and I am missing the Sunday Ticket shit. I'm sitting here working instead (GEE, what a great alternative to football...)

Imma do some taxes this coming year so if you need yours done, don't call me LOL j/k

I'm going to bake a chicken today, I guess since its sunday lol...

I Got Five On It...

1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?
Yes, it is the same name, nothing changed.

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?
I would not change it for the world. Well, maybe for a part of Canada...

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)
My grandad (R.I.P.) wanted to give me a name that I could grow into and was also powerful, and I beleive he succeeded.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?I hate when parents name their children after cars, (not Mercedes, but LEXUS) clothes (you know there is at least 1 kid named Burberry Jenkins) and drinks (Alize, Hennessy, Southern Comfort, Colt 45, etc)

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?
It's pretty accurate actually. For both my first and middle name, it kinda blends together.

This FF wasn't too bad.

In Other News...

They come in Threes... RIP Charles Bronson, John Ritter and Johnny Cash.

I heard that the J-Lo-Ben wedding was off. I know 'Gigli' was bad but damn...

What about that shit that Jay-Z didn't want Sean Paul performing with Beyonce? Hm, maybe Jigga-boo's game is not as tight as we would beleive hmmm?

I can't believe people are hyping the 'Black Album' like its some damn breakthrough. Prince already DID a Black Album, Red & Meth did Blackout, Mos Def did Black on Both Sides and Cypress Hill did Black Sunday.

There was also:

Above The Law - Black Superman

Public Enemy - Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos

Stevie Wonder - Black Man

James Brown - Black and I'm Proud (Say It Loud)

9/11 and common sense

Someone once told me 'common sense ain't common'.

I would like to think that that was not true. But I keep getting disappointed. That said, I am going to address a few things.

Take Iraq-Nam for example.

The so-called 'war' has been over months ago. However, it looks like more soldiers are dying in the cleanup effort than died in the actual war itself. It does not take a Kerner Commission report to see that those efforts, for now, are not working.

Maybe the US needs to fall back a bit. No shame in that. But I guess there's no money in that either.

Today is 9-11, and if you going somewhere, seats were more than half off! Because no one is going anywhere today on a plane I bet. I think its ironic that in a country where we have more people in jail and in 'the system' than most major cities have population, people still are in fear. The laws get tighter, more (of our, *sigh*) people go to jail, but the drugs are still here, the guns are still here and in the wrong people's hands. So I say, decriminalize the drugs, make the punishment fit the crime, make concealed handguns legal (because, really, are you gonna try to rob someone when the thought exists that EVERYBODY is strapped? If u a damn fool maybe). More than half of the prison population is in for some drug shit. Crazy, isn't it, that the government can plant drugs in hoods, blame the people for taking them, and then cart them to jail because of it...

*taking off my C-O-N-spiracy hat for now*

I will go on record as saying The Source has gone officialy from First to Worst in hip hop magazines. On this month's cover was 50 Cent which, in itself, is not wrong. But how are you gonna run an article about the Exploitation of 50 and then have him on your cover to sell magazines? Smells like a load of bullshit to me.. I thought they hit a low point when they were declaring a state of emergency in hip hop because no one was buying Made Men CDs but nooooo...

I was going to slam the nominee lineup, but it ain't that bad. Of course, some nominees should not be there, but thats the case with almost any award show.

Latest Kobe News...

His defense team wants old girl to testify at the preliminary hearing, but the prosecution wants to block the subpeona. I always thought one had the right to face their accuser, but maybe I'm wrong on that one.

They said also the girl moved out of Eagle, Colorado, and lives half a days' travel away. I'm like, so? But the legal heads say the judge may grant the prosecutions request.

Synchronicity

A connecting principle,
Linked to the invisible
Almost imperceptible
Something inexpressible.
Science insusceptible
Logic so inflexible
Causally connectable
Yet nothing is invincible

Know anything that matches this description?

The Police was the second white boy band I liked, and unlike the Beatles, they were still making music. And unlike the Stones, they weren't old. They are now, but F' it, they are still the shit, even tho I was 10 when they broke up...

*sigh* showing my age....

Sox lost, so they are only a game up now...

Monday Morning

I am sitting here still trying to make important decisions in a very brief time span. Can I do it? What else is holding me back? Has time run out on certain things? When do I cut my losses?

I try to ask for advice. One person says, X. The other says Y. Most who know of my situation lean toward X. A few key people say Y.

Ultimately, I am the one who has to make this decision.

But I don't want to blow it again.

My instinct says X, but thinking about it says Y, but then again I tend to over-think shit and then I am stuck. I never just DO anything hardly, it has to be well thought out to almost the point of exhaustion, not to say I need to be impulsive, but a bit more spontinaety might be appropriate.

Ah Well...

It's monday, so I'm going to do a Football Recap! Excited? Me too!

49ers 49, Bears 7 - That was some embarrasing shit.

Texans 21, Dolphins 20 - The Wanny Watch is back on

Titans 22, Raiders 20 - Tennessee got revenge for that Title Game ass whoopin

Broncos 30, Bengals 10 - Jake Plummer was The Worst! Well naw, Kordell was Worser!

Bills 31, Patriots 0 - Lawyer Milloy helped beat his former (as of this week) squad.

Chiefs 27, Chargers 14 - Priest is still the shit

Colts 9, Browns 6 - Field goal kicking contests suck

Giants 23, Rams 13 - Warner broken up again, and Tiki was running wild

Seahawks 27, Saints 10 - Is Matt Hasselbeck for real?

Falcons 27, Cowboys 13 - No Vick? No problem. The Tuna loses his Cowboy debut

Vikings 30, Packers 25 - I'm smiling, Bret Favre threw 4 picks

Steelers 34, Ravens 15 - Maddox picking up where he left off

Lions 42, Cardinals 24 - Harrington 4 TDs, Blake 363 yds, let's see how they Both do against better teams

Panthers 24, Jaguars 23 - Delhomme is the FUTURE! maybe...

Will Tampa beat Philly tonight? I don't think so, the Iggles will have that opening a stadium momentum thing going for them, plus the fact that the Bucs prevented them from (once again) reaching the Super Bowl.

EDIT: So much for my prediction, the Bucs won 17-0. McNabb was in the worstest category, up there with Jake and Kordell...

In Other News...

Illegals can now get driver's licenses in the state of California. Shit is official. What I wanna know is, what is going to distinguish an illegal having a license from a citizen? That was usually one way you could tell. So, not only can you have Mexican ID and it count as American, but also get a drivers license...

Ok, so what does being American actually mean?

I'm done with classes, and its lunchtime. Coincidence?

Chores Suck

That's why you have kids. That said, I will not be doing today's Friday Five.

I think I piled it on this semester. I have 3 writing-intensive classes (Film-TV Writing, African-American Lit, and Critical Thinking) my Cinema class (we watch a movie once a week and talk about it) and Chemistry. (Once upon a time I thought I was a Chem major, but I was like, nope. LOL)

That will equal 17 hours in all. plus I have a part time editing job now. *applause*

So, all I need now is a (more or less) permanent place to live, and I will be cool.

What else? Oh yeah, my wayward cousin (The same one I played 'Negro Jackass' with) has got his diploma and looks like he is headed to Job Corps since he found out he can go ahead and become a diesel mechanic, some shit.

They're gonna put his ass in Utah, LOL.

MTA's Punk'd

The MTA is the local transit authority for Los Angeles. Since I was out of gas I decided to use it. Coming back from where I was going, I got on the bus with another black man and a white dude. The black man moved to the back of the bus (Ironic: Rosa Parks n King n em had that boycott so we can sit anywhere we want on the bus, and WHERE do we sit? in the back, but anyway) and started talking with this Mexican about the war n Bush n em. I mentioned the white dude because he wound up punking the otha negro, which kinda sucked, it went like this....

BM: If it wasn't for Bush and all those crazy white people in office....

WM: What? What did you say?

BM: Nothing

WM: Yeah, that's what I thought you said. You're too scared to say what you really said again.

So, I look back at the black man for some sort of clever retort, and nothing comes. I was like, what? awww man, he been punk'd! Where's Ashton Kutcher?

Because I would've said that, and more, woulda been like, yes, I said crazy ass crackers are in office now, and in MOST offices. 90% of elected muthafuckas are white, YOU do the math...

(Not to offend the white folk that read this, cuz I know its some, but come-on...)

I felt bad cuz the black dude aint say too much of anything else, just talkin about sellin his car for 500, some shit.

In Other News...

Today is the first day of classes, and there's no financial aid in sight.

Like I didn't know.

I guess it's like any other gubment program, it takes forever. I mean, I need aid to buy a book or 4, not in the middle of the semester. What kills me is all the shit they talk about getting your forms in early, because at this point I am still getting what I would have got had I turned forms in say, Last week...

Nothing.

But I digest..

I went to my chemsitry class, and I am the only negro in it. There were like 5 africans and a couple black women, but I am the only american negro. Isolation is settling in.

I think thats about it for now, I have Cinema classes today so those should be fun.
